The principal marine surveyor and delivery Captain for Anchor Marine Services, LLC is Captain Johnny M. Smith.

Picture of a boat. Captain Smith holds a Master, 500 Gross Ton license and is on his sixth issue (licenses are renewable at 5 year increments). Captain Smith was captain of offshore supply vessels in the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico for eleven years, operating vessels up to 180 feet in support of offshore oil exploration and production. He also spent three years in operations and personnel management with two large offshore supply boat companies in Louisiana. He owned and operated a Captain's License training school for 14 years. Captain Smith wrote courses and textbooks that were accepted by the Coast Guard in lieu of the Coast Guard examination for Captain's licenses up to 200 Gross Tons.

Captain Smith is a Surveyor Associate recognized by the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) as well as a Master Marine Surveyor, Accident Investigator recognized by the United States Surveyor's Association (USSA).

Captain Smith has personally owned many sail and power boats up to 45 feet and has upwards of a half-million miles of sea going service to his credit both professionally and recreationally.

Our offices are located in Pensacola in the Florida Panhandle and we primarily serve the Northern Gulf Coast region. However, we are available for consultations and other services nationwide.

We are members of and subscribe to the standards set by the American Boat and Yacht Council and the National Fire Protection Association.
